Gretha’s home turf

Katrin and Greta’s grandmother Gretha Svabo Jørgensen (88) is no stranger to the camera. She starred in her granddaughter Greta jr’s music video Broken Bones and posed for us bravely today just outside of Bøur in Vágar. Greta can always tell tomorrow’s weather just by looking out of the window and checking the wind direction. She is in tune with the weather.

A big warm thank you to the wonderful Svabo Bech trio for showing us their home turf. A thank you is also in place to the brilliant Súsanna Sørensen from Visit Faroe Islands, who very generously armed us with a car for this week. We are loving our little wheels.

Tune in tomorrow morning the 5th November at Gøðan morgun Føroyar for a little interview on The Faroe Islands episode of Eyes as Big as Plates . You can listen to it here after it has gone live.
