New project and blog: Time is a ship that never casts anchor – Stories from New Kirkenes Hospital

Just in time for Christmas, the Eyes as Big as Plates duo is proud to present a sparkling new project and blog: Time is a ship that never casts anchor – Stories from New Kirkenes Sykehus.

This is a new artistic documentation project carried out in conjunction with the construction of New Kirkenes Hospital in Finnmark, Norway. Time is a ship that never casts anchor aims to tell the story of the new hospital – through the stories of the people who have defined and continue to shape Sør-Varanger in the future. The local community will be engaged as active participants and the final result will be a series of vivid portraits encouraging new perspectives on the Barents region. The blog will be updated biweekly, and the progress of the project can be followed and contributed to on the project site, with the final artworks coming to public view at the New Kirkenes Hospital in the spring of 2017. Follow the blog here:

Eyes as Big as Plates is also gearing up for the exciting events to come in 2015 – here is a little list of hints: Sweden, Faroe Islands, Greenland, U.S , South Korea and somewhere far and tropical… To be continued!

Festive and wintery greetings from the Eyes as Big as Plates HQ,
