Exhibition openings in Toronto, Ottawa, Bucharest and Oslo!

Reporting live from Toronto, Canada! After five furious production days in Nova Scotia (more about that later), we are ready for tomorrow’s opening at the Harbourfront Centre! We are here as part of Nordic Bridges, a year-long initiative fostering cultural exchange between the Nordic Region and Canada, which presents multidisciplinary contemporary art, culture, and ideas throughout 2022.

The second opening of this week’s jamboree takes place in Ottawa at the National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts on the 22nd of September, which is home to the SPHERE Festival, also part of the Nordic Bridges cultural collaboration across Canada. SPHERE is a four-day festival shedding light on the global environmental crisis through a multidisciplinary approach of art, creativity, and science. The festival is presented by the National Arts Centre Orchestra | l’Orchestre du Centre national des Arts and hosts Canadian, Indigenous and Nordic representatives from a variety of artistic disciplines.

If you don’t happen to be in Ottawa, perhaps you’re in Bucharest? The exhibition “LES FEMMES DU FEU” at Sector 1 Gallery opens on the 22nd and presents works by legendary surrealist artists Hedda Sterne (1910-2011) and Greta Brătescu (1926-2018) as well as new works by contemporary Romanian and Norwegian artists Hortensia Mi Kafchin, Ioana Ursa, Tincuța Marin, Codruța Cernea Marianne Darlén Solhaugstrand, yours truly and Ingrid Torvund.

If none of the above hit the jackpot, we bet you’re in Oslo and in that case, head over to Oslo Negativ Festival which opens on the 23rd!
