Mortan of the Seven Seas

Mortan is a local legend. He stars in the new Visit Faroe Islands film as the poster boy of the sea. You can get a glimpse of him in action here. Mortan has been fishing since he was 14, and at 71 he has no plans of retiring as long as it’s fun. There are so many stories from Mortan’s long and colourful life at sea, that we have booked a slot at the national radio and television archives tomorrow to go and familiarise ourselves with some of them.

Mortan knows everybody, everybody knows Mortan. Karoline had to ask for his autograph at the end of the day.
