Shrimps and High Tide at BRUSK, Bruges

We are excited to reveal that Eyes as Big as Plates will be part of the exhibition High Tide, opening this October at BRUSK, the brand-new museum at the heart of Bruges’ Museum Quarter in Belgium.

Curated by Karen Van Godtsenhoven alongside Michel Dewilde, High Tide explores water, the sea, and the ocean as it has shaped art, design, and imagination for centuries. The exhibition unfolds across twelve thematic “islands”, moving with the rhythm of the tides themselves, from the stillness of low tide to the pressing urgency of high tide.

We’re honored to be showing alongside Martin Parr, Alexander McQueen, Bill Viola, Pierre et Gilles, Dries Van Noten, Rinus Van de Velde, Wangechi Mutu, Iris van Herpen, Harmonia Rosales, Chanel, Dominique White, Abdul Rahman Katanani, Shayli Harrison (Mutani), Di Petsa, Yves Beaumont, and Otobong Nkanga, Gabriella Ciancimino and many more.

The new portraits of our dear friends Günther & Martha and Dani with Cragnon Cragnon were a grand feat for this duo! We hereby send over a giant frutti di mare thank you to both teams at the Musea Brugge and at the Navigo Fisheries Museum in Oostduinkerke for having us onboard with shrimp, horses and all!

If you’re anywhere near Bruges, we wholeheartedly recommend the trip. While you’re in Bruges, it’s pretty near to Oostduinkerke and you can go meet the sea, the shrimp, Dani, Günther, Martha, blue jellyfish and Korneel too!
