LANDART Gjerdrum returns this October for its eighth edition. Liva Mork and Mari Meen-Halsøy’s notorious vision of relational and site-specific art in the landscape has reliably caused a stir, and we urge everyone to make the trip! From 10–25 October, in Gjerdrum (near the Oslo airport) in Norway.
Three years ago, we created a series of portraits and texts in collaboration with five powerhouses from the local community: beekeeper Terje Rejnertsen, dairy farmer Ole Kristian Skallerud, sheep farmer and then-mayor Anders Østensen, vegetable farmer Anne-Margit Bråtveit, and Anna Sandman, local politician and survivor of the 2020 quick-clay landslide.
For Landart 2026, we interviewed Anna and Anders once again, and these conversations have resulted in new texts, presented alongside the portraits photographed in 2023. This year’s participating artists are Jad El Khoury, Kachun Lay, Janicke Schønning, and yours truly.
